Parish Announcement
A Message from
Our Priest-in-ChargeDiocesan Posting Announcement
Dear Friends,
Moving forward into the next year, Bishop Titus has taken the decision to post me out of All Saints’ English meaning that I will no longer be your Priest-in-Charge. This news might surprise most if not all of us, so allow me to answer some questions.
Where will I be posted to?
My new assignment will not be to pastor a parish. Rather, I will be focusing on the ministry in the community arm of our Diocese – Singapore Anglican Community Services (SACS).
Why the community service?
Our Diocese involvement in community work is extensive and growing! We have roughly 15 senior centres looking after the elderly, 8 psychiatric services caring for the disabled along with 2 family cum children service centres caring for the vulnerable. As such, there is a great ministry need that requires a pastor and the reason I have been assigned there.
When will this occur?
This will take effect at the start of the New Year on 1 January 2027. This means that our Thanksgiving Service on 31 December will be my last service with you as your shepherd.
Who will be the new Priest-in-Charge for ASE?
Bishop Titus has taken the decision that Revd. Brandon Loy will be appointed as our new Priest-in-Charge. He will continue to serve as Vicar of All Saints’ Church. This means that the leadership responsibility of the whole church will now come under Revd. Brandon.
Posting out and farewells are not easy to accept. And as you read this announcement, you may feel this way. However, let’s not allow this news to dishearten us! As we celebrate our 40th anniversary, we also remember that 40 years is often the signal of a new season in the bible. God has a new direction laid out for All Saints’ English.
So as we enter our 41st year, my prayer is that we remain as one church and support the leadership to the glory of God! May we embrace what is ahead for us.
In Christ,
Revd. Darren Choo
Priest-in-Charge
Your Questions,
Answered.
-
Yes. Revd. Brandon Loy will officially be our Priest-in-Charge (PIC).
Revd Brandon will continue to serve as Vicar of both All Saints’ Chinese Congregation (ASC) and All Saints’ English (ASE).
For ASE, he will therefore serve in both capacities — as our Vicar and our Priestin-Charge.

As Revd. Darren takes on his new ministry assignment, he and Cassandra will likely become members of another church more closely connected with their new ministry. We understand that their daughter, who has built strong friendships and is comfortable with her youth group here, may continue with us, which would be a blessing.
While Revd. Darren’s formal ministry role with ASE is coming to an end, the friendships that Darren and Cassandra have built with so many in our congregation certainly do not end here.
We encourage everyone to continue reaching out, keeping in touch, and nurturing these friendships.
We remain brothers and sisters in Christ and part of one family under God.
-
No. This is the appointment of a new Priest-in-Charge; it is not a move to merge ASE and ASC.
Both congregations currently have their own constitutions and governance structures and will continue, at this time, to operate as two distinct congregations.
At the same time, as part of the wider All Saints’ family, we will continue to look for appropriate opportunities to collaborate and support one another.
-
Revd. Brandon and our ECC have been praying together and intentionally seeking the Lord’s guidance through this transition.
Revd. Darren has also begun a comprehensive handover process, which will be completed by 31 December 2026, his final day as our Priest-in-Charge.
At present, there will not be major changes to our ministries.
Over the past few years, ASE and ASC have already been encouraged to collaborate in appropriate areas, including initiatives such as Youth Alpha and the annual student camp. These collaborations will continue for the foreseeable future.
